horn band song
This may be impossible.
The song I'm thinking about was released around 1970. The singer sounds like David Clayton Thomas, but I'm 95% sure Blood Sweat and Tears did not record this song. The singer also sounds a bit like Dartanyan Brown of Chase. Again, I'm 95% sure the song wasn't recorded by Chase. The song's rhythm line goes something like da-da-DA-da-DA and repeats. The song got some AM airplay, but it wasn't a big hit like Vehicle or Will it Go Round in Circles. The intro is led by saxophones and goes DAH-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-DAH and repeats, but the second time through, the last chord (the DA at the end) the notes bend and go lower. Haven't lost you yet? Okay, I can't say for sure what the lyric is, that follows the big horn part, it's something like "sing it now," or "sing it out," "sing it loud," or even "dig it now" followed by "let the (wheels? world?) go round and round" followed by more big horns.

Any help would be appreciated.

This may be way off but the song that comes to mind is "Everybody's Everything" by Santana. The right time frame, has a strong repetitive horn line and contains the lyrics you are offering up as clues.

That is exactly it. I just listened to the song for the first time in years. Headphones on, really loud. Thank you!
